Images from the Wild
by Rob Sinclair

Welcome to my site. I hope you are enjoying the images.
If you are wondering about my approach, I am someone who grew up looking out the window during school - transfixed by the birds and squirrels playing in the trees. I spent many long hours in my tree house or trying to sneak up on Red Tailed Hawks that frequented the fields near my home. I always have had a deep love for nature and spent as much time as possible exploring new areas and watching the wildlife. Not much has changed.... :)
The goal of my photography is to offer a brief glimpse into the lives of the wild creatures and landscapes I encounter during my time wandering in the woods, forests, deserts and plains. Ultimately, I hope to help more people understand how delicate and precious these animals and ecosystems are ... to inspire each of us to help protect and care for them.
Capturing the images you see on this site requires a significant investment in time and research coming to know the areas and subjects I choose to photograph, not to mention the hours spent waiting for the lighting, gesture or composition required to create an image that is extraordinary. I have chosen to photograph animals only in their natural habitat - not in zoos or game farms because I believe the true power, majesty, personality and spirit of these animals is best experienced in the wild where they are free to live and roam.
Although this results in fewer images, I believe this approach and philosophy will ultimately yield a more captivating and compelling body of work. I hope you agree.
I am honored to say my work has been exhibited in fifteen countries around the world:
Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Thank you for visiting my site and please let me know if you have any questions, suggestions or special requests - including photography questions about equipment, techniques, locations, etc. I will respond as soon as possible.
Warm regards,
Rob
