About Rob and his Photography

Rob has a deep love for nature and spends as much time as possible in the field. His images offer a brief glimpse into the lives of the wild creatures and landscapes he photographs. His goal is to show how delicate and precious these animals and ecosystems are and to inspire each of us to help protect and care for them.

Capturing the images you see on this site requires a significant investment in time and research coming to know the areas and subjects he chooses to photograph, not to mention the hours spent waiting for the lighting, gesture or composition required to create an image that is extraordinary. This is made even more difficult by his choice to photograph animals only in their natural habitat - not in zoos or game farms. Rob believes the true power, majesty, personality and spirit of these animals is best experienced in the wild where they are free to live and roam as nature intended. Although this results in fewer images, we believe his philosophy and approach will ultimately yield a more captivating and compelling body of work. We hope you agree.
